Ronda Rousey has helped women’s UFC to reach new heights. She is one of the most widely known female fighters. She was the first female to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018. Currently is showing her worth at WWE SmackDown. She is the reigning SmackDown women’s champion for the second time. She was also the first American Judoka to win a medal at the Olympics. These exploits are enough to conclude that Ronda Rousey is a fighter of massive worth.

A fan on Twitter felt otherwise, though. The user used pictures of a few fighters, including Rousey, and captioned it “UFC mount Rushmore of Frauds“. The tweet was, however, opposed by former welterweight Runner- up, DaMarques Johnson, who defended Ronda ‘Rowdy’ Rousey.

DaMarques Johnson was not impressed with the inclusion of Ronda Rousey on the list of frauds by the user. He defended Rousey, replying to the tweet that also included fighters like Paddy Pimblett and Sage Northcutt.

What did DaMarques Johnson say about Rousey?

Johnson replied, “@RondaRouseycant be on this list she is more legit anyone… There’s far more deserving people for example … Greg ranger Stott, Joshua fabia, Rafiel Torre”

Rousey asserted her dominance over the Women’s UFC realm for quite some time. She held the highest number of title defenses in UFC history till 2022. She held her title 6 consecutive times. Valentina Shevchenko recently surpassed Rousey‘s record.

‘Rowdy’ Rousey is the only woman to have held a title at both UFC and WWE. She has also featured in headline acts in PPV events for both UFC and WWE. Looking at all these achievements, it’s very much understandable why DaMarques Johnson couldn’t digest Rousey being mentioned as a “fraud“.

Ronda Rousey, Olympic medalist, and Hollywood actress

Ronda Rousey is the first-ever female American to have won a medal in Judo. This may have been the end of the road for many fighters, not her ‘Rowdy’ though. In fact, she left Judo at 21 after the Olympics and trained in Jiu Jitsu at Dynamix MMA. She also trained with Rener Gracie and BJ Penn. Ronda also showed her talent in acting. She appeared in The Expendables 3 and Furious 7.

Rousey broke her Mom’s wrist while training with her when she was 13. She broke a lot of things thereafter. The jinx of an American woman never winning an Olympic gold, the stereotype that she will never get into MMA because she was” too pretty to be hit in the face”. A lot of contemporary records and a lot of bones during her career. To call her a fraud is just delusional and probably biased. Do you think Rousey is a fraud?
