“Wrestles Like Jon Jones, Boxes Like Ilia Topuria” – UFC Fans React As ‘Random Dude’ Leaves Cop Embarrassed in Viral Footage

What’s the one thing fight fans can’t get enough of? Fights. Duh. But you know what makes them even better? When you see a speck of MMA in otherwise chaotic streetfights. And UFC lightweight prospect, Terrance McKinney shared one such instance on his Instagram profile. 

Well, the visuals weren’t really his own. Instead, the video showed an altercation between a civilian and a police officer. The context of the incident remains unclear. But we did see the cop trying to take the civilian down with a miserable double-leg takedown attempt. The civilian acted like a trained fighter and defended himself pretty well, and soon took the cop in a guillotine hold. But trying to diffuse the situation, he let him go. But the cop wasn’t done. Instead of backing away, he dove in with his fists this time, only to get countered by the civilian’s strong punches. 

Like many others, McKinney was impressed by the civilian’s skills. He not only showed great ground game but was also fluent in talking with his fists. And ‘TWrecks’, the man who claimed to have died twice because of a overdose, expressed his thoughts through the caption. He believed that the ‘random guy’ was a mix of Jon Jones and Ilia Topuria. He wrote, “Bro wrestles like Jon Jones, boxes like Ilia Topuria and has better takedown defense than half the UFC 😂.”

It didn’t take long for the fighting community to swoop into the comments section to react to the video. Of course, most comments were all about the cop embarrassing himself. Let’s take a look at the fans’ feelings, shall we?

One of the fans revealed that it was a really old video, and took a guess at the civilian’s fighting expertise. He wrote, “Saw this years ago but never doing context. Is that a cop shooting a sloppy takedown on a random dude? Buddy def has wrestling experience with that nice sprawl then a gilly.” Another fight fan shed more light on the altercation and revealed the visuals were from France. While the netizens continued to troll the cop in the comments section, the fan revealed that he was trolled by his colleagues too. The comment read, “This was in France years ago and cop got exposed on national media 😂😂 all his colleagues saw how he can’t fight for shi, nobody supported him as this was purely an unjustified assault on a cooperating civilian.”

One comment read, “Cop needs to work on his takedowns. That ain’t it chief !” Another fan wrote, “When a cop with his 1 weekly bjj class finds a dedicated mma guy lol.” Netizens even seemed to make a laughing stock of the policeman. A comment went, “The confidence of the man with zero skill… super impressive! 😂😂😂.” Meanwhile, a few others believed that Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team at Dagestan could work some magic. One fan referred to the viral Islam Makhachev clip and wrote, “Send cop to Dagestan 2 years and forget.”

Simultaneously, the praise for the civilian kept on rising. One of the fans agreed with McKinney and claimed that he had the skills of Nurmagomedov, Topuria, and Jones. The fan wrote, “Bro’s Khabib “El Matador” Jones.” Another group of fans requested Dana White to give the man a contract. One comment read, “@danawhite find him.👏👏.” Another fan commented, “get dude in the octagon.”
