WOW! Stephen Thompson Calls Out Actor Jack Black to Walk Him Out for His Next Title Fight

UFC welterweight Stephen Thompson spoke to Submission Radio in the lead-up to his fight against Gilbert Burns at UFC 264. As ‘Wonderboy’ is knocking on the door of title contention, his upcoming match-up will decide his future. A win over Burns would ensure that he’s one fight away from challenging the winner of Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington for the undisputed strap.

‘Wonderboy’ is already looking forward to fighting for gold once more, and he’s laid out plans for when the time arrives. Chiefly, Stephen Thompson told Submission Radio that he wants Jack Black to walk him out. He’s gone on record to say that he wants Black’s band ‘Tenacious D’ to be a part of his title fight experience.

“100%, Jack Black. I need you for the ‘Wonderboy Walkout’, title fights, it’s got to be for the title. I need you out there giving me the vibe, you know what I mean. I need the ‘Wonderboy Energy’ in the house coming from the man himself. So, if you’re watching this, which we know you are, I need you there man, I need you there.”

Tenacious D is an American Rock band founded by actors Kyle Gass and Jack Black. Their song, ‘Wonderboy’ would be a perfect fit for Thompson’s walkout in a future title fight. It’s clear that Stephen Thompson is already looking at what’s next for him after Gilbert Burns.

On paper, Thompson is being favored by MMA fans because of the complexities he offers within his striking arsenal. He’s notoriously difficult to takedown and Gilbert Burns will probably have a hard time keeping up on the feet.
