Israel Adesanya faces Marvin Vettori at UFC 263 next weekend as ‘The Last Stylebender’ looks to defend his middleweight title for the third time. Ahead of this monumental clash, Adesanya showed off his new insane training footage at the UFC 263 countdown video.
‘Stylebender’ has been doing some training under waterfalls that includes water polo, sand running, and other innovative methods.
He has been working alongside his team at the Piha beach in Auckland, New Zealand. Adesanya fought Vettori in 2018 in what was his second UFC fight. The champion came away with a split decision win.

“I’m changing my strength and training program. When I do it and also just replacing t with breath work and the mobility work I do with Dave Wood,” said Izzy.
“The benefit of this training is that it gets them out of their comfort zone. This is something different. This is a wild environment. It’s the middle of the winter here. It gets pretty chaotic.
“There’s a combination of breath work, moving stuff on the beach, sand-dune running, and polo stuff in the water. It’s an opportunity to get them out of their comfort zone and really push them,” said Wood about the training.
Izzy is undoubtedly the greatest striker in the UFC at the moment. He will look to use his strength to dismantle a former foe. He has vowed to finish the job this time and not leave it to the hands of judges.

How will the new method benefit Israel Adesanya?
‘Stylebender‘ suffered his first career defeat in MMA at UFC 259. Jan Blachowicz outscored him over 5-rounds in his last fight. Many believed the Polish fighter laid out the game plan to beat Adesanya. So that called for a change in Izzy’s methods.
The middleweight champion has responded accordingly. He will be determined to showcase his new self in the pay-per-view next weekend and defend his belt yet again.
