

The world was in disbelief when the video of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, allegedly behaving inappropriately with a kid, went viral. While some celebrities supported the Dalai Lama by mentioning that it could be a deliberate action to defame the leader, some of them lashed out against him. One among them was the MMA fighter, Travis Browne. Browne, who is also the husband of MMA legend Ronda Rousey, felt that it was important to bring public attention to the matter. In the viral video, the spiritual leader is seen kissing a boy on the lips and then asking him to “suck my tongue” at an event in northern India.

People all around the world called out the leader for making the kid uncomfortable. Soon afterwards, the Dalai Lama apologized to the boy and his family. The leader also stated that he would like to apologize to his friends all around the world who were hurt after coming across the incident. He also added that he regretted the incident. However, Browne felt that the matter was not something that could be taken lightly.

Travis Browne lashes out at Dalai Lama
The UFC heavyweight took to his Instagram account to protest against the religious leader. He posted a picture of the Dalai Lama with the kid. Under the post he wrote, “How is this being overlooked?? This piece of shit dalai lama, asked a kid to suck his tongue while being recorded and in front of his people. What does he do when no one is around. #KAP”

He later edited the caption and wrote, “Yes, he made an apology… this is not acceptable, he does not get a pass. He needs to be dealt with. You know this is not the first time, and you know worse has been happening for years behind closed doors.”
