Is Henry Cejudo's trash talk justifiable, or is he crossing the line with Sean O'Malley?

Sean O’Malley doesn’t like losing, but Riyadh Season Noche UFC snatched away his bantamweight championship belt and gave it to Merab Dvalishvili with a unanimous decision. While the world of mixed martial arts assumed that the rivalry was done, O’Malley put forth a rant on his YouTube channel. But surprisingly, he happened to drag in ‘Triple C’ and the outcome was an X-rated assault on social media.

Following Cejudo’s diss on O’Malley’s wrestling prowess, the former bantamweight champion reflected on his fight against ‘The Machine’. Cejudo believed that O’Malley would choose a striker for his next bout, and blamed it all on his poor wrestling skills. But ‘Suga’ claimed that he secured more takedown defenses against Dvalishvili than ‘Triple C’ ever did. He said, “I actually stopped more takedowns [in fight with merab Dvalishvili] than Henry Cejudo. You guys know who that guy is? He used to fight in the UFC… He used to be a bronze [Olympic] medalist back in the day.”

But ‘Triple C’ wasn’t happy with ‘Suga’s words. He took to X and shared a heated response. He tweeted, “The only thing you ever won the gold in is being the worlds biggest C*ck. You are so in denial you should move to Egypt. They should take some of Diddy’s baby oil and it on your dry v***na. @SugaSeanMMA.

Needless to say, Henry Cejudo wanted to settle his differences with Sean O’Malley inside the Octagon. But the Olympian had another plan to move to, in case O’Malley didn’t want to fight.

Henry Cejudo wants to take the rivalry against Sean O’Malley to the arena

Talking to Kamaru Usman on their talk show, ‘Pound4Pound’ podcast, Cejudo declared, “I personally, I would love to fight him [Sean O’Malley]. I think with all the trolling that we have done to each other, we both live in the same damn city.” But Cejudo was full of doubts regarding the matchup. He believed that ‘Suga’ wouldn’t want to fight him after the kind of experience he had against Merab Dvalishvili. ‘Triple C’ continued, “I think moving forward is if Sean O’Malley is willing and wants to fight this troll, who’s the true king of Arizona, well then here I am.”

Is Henry Cejudo's trash talk justifiable, or is he crossing the line with Sean O'Malley?

Have an interesting take?

In case the matchup doesn’t materialize, Cejudo plans to drop some weight and move to the flyweight division once again. After all, it was the flyweight realm that kickstarted Cejudo’s UFC career. The Olympic medalist is unable to make a strong stand in the 135-pound category, and it does seem like changing weight class is a good decision. But let’s be honest, we would want to witness a showdown between Cejudo and O’Malley, wouldn’t we?
