Abigail Shrier, although a law graduate from Yale, is a journalist and writes for the Wall Street Journal. She was featured on the recent episode of the Joe Rogan expressing podcast in which she profoundly expressed her disdain. According to her, kids of today’s age and time are not prepared well for dealing with trauma. During their conversation, she said, “Regrettably, the current message to children often revolves around acknowledging trauma rather than fostering a belief in their capacity for resilience.”

Joe Rogan was partly in agreement with her as he said, “You need to work through that trauma, right? It’s not just a part of life, and you know what you need to do is go out there and live your life, and you’ll get over it.” It is safe to say that Rogan is not a fan of dealing with hardships by shying away from them. However, it is justified for kids to feel traumatized after a horrific event.

By citing his example, he continued, “Young people are treated like and told that they’re nothing and useless. I remember going back towards my high school when I was like and I’d get anxiety. I’d get weirded out by it, you know?”

His comments are quite holistic, to say the least. It is one reason Joe Rogan is so captivating as he considers all sorts of opinions and facets. Moreover, it bears mention that this has not been the sole instance he has expressed his concern over this particular subject matter.

Rogan is worried about Gen Z and their conflicts

Joe Rogan has all the sympathy in the world for kids of today’s age and time. According to him, they are bright, talented, and have a lot of potential to achieve impressive feats. However, he asserts that they are afraid to take risks and fear dabbling into arduous tasks. Subsequently, he has an itch to sit them down and guide them to take chances in life.

Reflecting on the same, in the same interview, he said, “And along with those tools, to explain to them that there’s things that they’re going to have to do in this life that are very difficult. But that there’s a great reward in doing these very difficult things.”
