Anderson Silva is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever grace the planet. He is a former UFC middleweight champion and holds the record for the longest winning streak in UFC history. He won 16 fights in a row from 2006 to 2012.

‘The Spider’ lost a step after suffering defeat at the hands of Chris Weidman at UFC 162. He came into the fight as a heavy favorite and looked comfortable in the fight, but got caught with a left hand to the temple that sent him crashing down.

It was one of the biggest upsets in UFC history and Silva tried to bounce back from the loss. He met Weidman again at UFC 168 but suffered a gruesome leg injury in the second round and rendered him unable to continue.

Michael Bisping would like to see Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva

Former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping wants to see Jake Paul fight Anderson Silva. During a Q&A session on his YouTube channel, ‘The Count’ claimed that Paul likes to face fighters past their prime and Silva falls into that category.

But he also admitted that Silva is beating people and in style. During the session, he said, “Jake Paul likes to fight people past their sell-by date. Anderson Silva is past his sell-by date but Anderson Silva is still beating people in style. Look what he did to bloody Tito Ortiz, a one-shot knockout, unbelievable. Beautiful work… He’s still fast, he’s still got it, but he’s not in his prime. That would fit the narrative that Jake Paul likes, but Jake Paul isn’t calling him out.”
