WMMA Pioneer Gina Carano Lashes Out at Journalist for Ignorant “$804” Tweet

It is very difficult for a person to switch careers and find success. The journey is more difficult for celebrities and athletes as they try to taste success in their new path. One of the problems that such people face is getting trolled over the internet. A similar incident occurred when former MMA fighter Gina Carano faced it, owing to her movie ‘Terror on Praire’. The movie also features former UFC fighter Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. Furthermore, the Twitter exchange saw the ex-WMMA pioneer coming on top and giving the troll a taste of his own medicine.

Gina Carano schools a reporter for the ignorant tweet.

Reporter Richard Newby tried to mock Gina Carano for her movie ‘Terror on the Praire’. The journalist tried to troll the former Strikeforce fighter for her ‘movie collection’. Newby tweeted, “I’ll never stop laughing at the fact that she could’ve had her own Star Wars series, toys, books, comics, apparel. She was that close. She didn’t just fumble the bag, she dumped it out, put it over her head and cut off her air supply.”

However, the reporter missed a key detail in the Gina Carano movie. The tweet intended to mock the WMMA pioneer made a mockery of the reporter. Carano tweeted in reply, “Here is a contributor of @THR who repeatedly joins in an online mob of mostly anonymous accounts harassing me. Are you aware that we released Terror on the Prairie exclusively on the @realDailyWire & you didn’t know that? Or are ignorance & spreading hate your only purpose here?”

Seems that Carano had enough of the online trolls who mocked her movie. Furthermore, she also received support from a Daily Wire reporter in her stance.

Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh comes in support of Carano

Daily Wire reporter Matt Walsh came in support of Gina Carano against her trolls. Walsh tweeted, “This guy turned replies off because he doesn’t want anyone to point out that the film, Terror on the Prairie, was released exclusively on the Daily Wire. It had one showing in one theater.”

Moreover, he hit back at the trollers. He wrote, “People are making fun of Gina Carano because her film failed to earn money in places where it wasn’t showing and was never intended to show. You might as well make fun of the Yankees for never winning the Super Bowl”.

Furthermore, Matt Walsh showed his humorous side in the exchange and made fun of the fact that Newby stated, “By the way the one showing was the premiere event where we didn’t sell tickets so I’m not sure how it managed to make even 804 dollars”.
