UFC 304 is just around the corner, and the fans are super excited about the upcoming event. One of the biggest fights of the night is the return of Tom Aspinall. The interim heavyweight champion will be taking on his long-time rival Curtis Blaydes in an exciting heavyweight clash. The pair has a bit of history between them and have previously met at UFC Fight Night.

Much to the surprise of many, Blaydes won the fight via knockout in the first round itself. One year down the line, Aspinall can now avenge the loss at UFC 304. The Brit is confident of winning his fight and, in a recent interview, shared his future plans.

‘Honey Badger’ shocked the world when he won the interim belt at UFC 295. Since then, the champion has been waiting for his next fight, but with little success. It now seems that the 31-year-old is focusing on his next fight and not on ‘Bones’ at the moment. In a recent interview, he said, “I’m over it at this moment. I am fighting Curtis Blaydes. It’s a tough fight, and I am preparing for Curtis. So Jon Jones and all the rest of the politics are pretty irrelevant right now.”

He further added, “If I win this one, which I believe I will, my next fight has to be undisputed, definitely. I will wait it out if I have to after this one.” The undisputed title will give Aspinall the opportunity to take on Jon Jones for the first time in his career. However, the battle is still a far-fetched dream, as the champion has yet to announce the date of his return. Till then Aspinall will look to keep his winning momentum going when he takes on Curtis Blaydes next.

The 31-year-old in his recent interview said, “Oh, loads. GSP, Jon Jones, Michael Bisping, BJ Penn, and Mark Coleman. There are so many, you know, spanning across generations. There are no fighters that I don’t look up to really, but those are just the ones that popped into my mind just now.” Jones at 36 years old is definitely at the twilight of his career with very limited fights left in his tank. However, before he calls it quits, fans would definitely love to see him take on Aspinall next.
