When will Conor McGregor finally give up on his antics and make up his mind to fight TUF rival & UFC Lightweight #5 Michael Chandler? Whether you’re a ‘Notorious’ fan or not – this question is a must-have if you’re a UFC fan. Conor McGregor has missed out on the USADA pool, and there’s no news of a comeback this year.

Ironically, Chandler’s rival is trivially throwing around a gauntlet to almost any big shot out there. In his recent antics, he tweeted a barrage of remarks aimed at the new “Baddest Motherf**ker” title holder Lightweight Justin Gaethje. Surprisingly, now, a UFC Hall-of-Famer and renowned MMA analyst has shed some light on the dire circumstances that Chandler is going through.

This surprising revelation comes straight from “The American Gangster” of the UFC, Chael Sonnen. In a recent interview, Sonnen shared his opinions on the most recent development of the feud between the duo. What’s more – it also comes to light that Gaethje has accused Conor McGregor of cheating. Turns out, ‘The Highlight’ has refused to fight ‘Notorious.’

Talking about this trio of fighters, he picked up the topic of ‘Iron Mike’s grim reality – he’s “without a paycheck” for almost six months now. Yes, that’s right! And “The American Gangster” has more to share with fans – about the TUF S31 coach’s paycheck conundrum.

“If you’re Michael Chandler, how long are you going to put up with the BS?” Sonnen questioned. Moreover, he asserted that although everyone knows “he’s a good person” – it’s somewhat working against him. Why? Well, according to the analyst, “mathematically, he[Chandler] has agreed to go this year without a paycheck. But he went to work every day – tough spot. So, at what point does he realize it’s been a year – do we start to realize that around January of next year?”

This is definitely an intriguing question, considering one inadmissible factor. If Conor McGregor doesn’t make up his mind in time, how long will this paycheck drought continue?

Is the ‘American Gangster’ right about Iron Mike’s conundrum

Nevertheless, arguing his stance, Sonnen advocated, “Every single day that goes by – he’s six months, in a best-case scenario, without a paycheck. Every day that goes by that Conor’s not in the pool – he’s six months in a best case [scenario] without a paycheck.”

A fun fact – the promotion’s initial plan of action was for TUF Season 31 to be coached by former interim UFC Lightweight Champions Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier. But Poirier turned the opportunity down. If only, instead of Poirier – the UFC would have gone to the ‘Notorious’ – fans could actually have had a chance to see these two big-talkers go at it.
