UFC 264 was the last event where Conor McGregor competed in a professional fight. Not only did he lose the battle, but he also suffered a horrendous leg injury. The former dual champion is now back to full fitness and ready for his comeback. His absence from the Octagon has raised questions regarding his skills and motivation. But what exactly is driving the 35-year-old for his return? This is what Gilbert Burns also wants to know. In his YouTube video, the Brazilian asked, “Why Conor McGregor is coming back? Why is he coming back?”

Despite staying away from the Octagon ‘The Notorious’ always stayed in the news. He used his time wisely by setting up new business ventures and also made his Hollywood debut with ‘Road House’. Does he still love fighting?

Burns feels McGregor is now desperate to prove himself again as a fighter. He said,“It is the ego that he is not seen as a fighter anymore and more as an entrepreneur. He’s seen more as a businessman. What’s the motivation, you know? He really wanna beat this guy and be the best guy, he still wanna fight for the title. He still wants to become a champion? There’s a lot of why’s.”

Burns then went on to mention if McGregor comes to the fight with the right mindset, he can be dangerous and end all claims surrounding him.

Gilbert Burns is not the only fighter waiting for McGregor’s comeback. Sean O’Malley is waiting for it as well. O’Malley has finally ended his beef with McGregor. Talking to MMAFightingonSBN, the 29-year-old shared his honest opinion about Conor McGregor.

Sean O’Malley feels Conor McGregor realized his mistake while speaking about him

Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor seem to have buried their beef once and for all. ‘Suga’ found himself caught in a cross-fire when McGregor blasted Ryan Garcia for testing positive for Ostarine. As such, in a since-deleted post on X, McGregor took a dig at O’Malley for his controversy in 2018 and 2019. ‘Suga’ was banned by the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) after he tested positive for Ostarine. O’Malley has always been a fan of McGregor, but his comments did not go well with him.

While speaking on his ‘TimboSugarShow’, the 29-year-old showed grievance. But, he couldn’t keep a grudge against his idol. “Ya, I tried. I was like f..k Conor. But it is what it is. I think he realized what he said was just stupid and I don’t know why he tried to put me and Ryan Garcia in the same category. I think he kind of realized what he said was stupid and then just backed himself into a corner”. O’Malley said while talking to MMAFightingonSBN.
