Jon Jones has finally opened up regarding the legal issue that he has been dealing with for months. The Bernalillo County court in Albuquerque, Mexico recently approved an agreement that involved the UFC heavyweight champion to follow certain rules for the next 90 days. If he manages to follow the instructions, his charges will be dismissed. Jones seemed relieved about it and shared a message of thanks to the legal authorities.
“I would like to extend my thanks to the justice system for reaching a prompt resolution in this matter, which affirms my innocence and enables me to maintain my focus on the upcoming fight,” Jon Jones tweeted. The 37-year-old felt free to now set his mind on his first heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic, which is something that he’s been excited about ever since his win over Ciryl Gane last year.
“I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to defend my heavyweight title on November 16th at Madison Square Garden,” ‘Bones’ added. On the other hand, this news must be appearing as music to Dana White’s ear because one of his biggest fights of the year, and perhaps in company history, is now going to take place from the scheduling perspective unless something else takes place because we already know that MMA is a crazy sport.

The certain rules included in the agreement involve not only a 90-day monitoring period but also include attending therapy sessions spanning at least four hours. Now, if you’re wondering what kind of therapy, well, it’s something that Jon Jones might be familiar with, which is anger management.

Jon Jones to undergo anger management therapy once again
Yes, folks! Jon Jones has agreed to the orders of the court to take anger management sessions. This will be the second time he will have to resort to this therapy as it’s been over eight years since he went on that road for the first time around. In 2016, Jones was involved in a hit-and-run charge for which he was put on probation. Even though the UFC champion denied all of those allegations, the court decided it was better to put him on an 18-month supervised probation. However, ‘Bones’ would go on to violate it.

The Albuquerque native was arrested for the violation when he was allegedly found drag racing near his local gym. However, Jon Jones has denied even those allegations as well. Footage also emerged of him, apparently arguing with the legal authorities. The 37-year-old did issue an apology regarding that incident later.
