As expected, Conor McGregor’s pulling out of the UFC 303 has sparked many speculations about the fight even taking place. After months and months of anticipation, and after ‘The Notorious’s promise to return on June 29 ever since New Year’s Eve 2024, things didn’t turn out how UFC would have wanted to. In the wake of his pullout, another speculation has emerged from Hall of Famer Michael Bisping, who’s concerned about McGregor’s future.

Conor McGregor suffered an injury with just a couple of weeks left for UFC 303, but what is the injury? We don’t know that since it has not been disclosed to the public. With the uncertainty looming around the Irishman, Michael Bipsing has given his take on a possible route McGregor could take, which might sadden his fans.

As soon as Dana White announced the scrapping of Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler, the only thing that Michael Bisping started thinking was if this was the end of the road for the first-ever UFC double champion.

As it happened previously, Dana White could have postponed the fight again. But rather than postponement, the fight was scrapped. What’s worrying the fans now is McGregor nursed his injury, the horrible leg snap, for three years, and yet again he got injured even before he stepped inside the Octagon.

“Of course, they’re going to move Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor to another date down the line, okay? I don’t know the extent of the injury. We’ve got to assume that it is the leg… He’s not fighting so it must be pretty serious,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel.

Bisping assumed that the damaged leg might mark the end for McGregor. If he injured his leg again, it might make him consider leaving the fighting altogether. “He hurt himself this time. What’s to say he won’t hurt himself next time? Him competing against Dustin Poirier when the leg snapped might just be the last time that Conor McGregor ever steps foot inside the Octagon,” Bisping added.

But what’s ahead for Michael Chandler now? Well although he was disappointed as he had been waiting for Conor McGregor since 2022, Chandler made sure to share a reminder with the fans.

It’s near impossible not to feel bad for 38-year-old Michael Chandler, who put all his fight business aside to get a crack at the ‘red panty night’. Even though it didn’t happen, much to his disappointment. Chandler still seems optimistic about the fight happening in the future. He took to X and highlighted that Conor McGregor might have pulled out of an event, but he’s not going to pull out of a fight, just like Chandler never did.

UFC might reschedule the fight, with August and September being the targeted months. But will Conor McGregor continue fighting after that? The Irishman himself claimed to have one fight left in his contract. Will he fulfill his contractual obligations? One can answer these questions only after witnessing McGregor inside the Octagon again.
