Conor McGregor is going to return to the octagon after three years and Mystic Mac is going to take on Michael Chandler. The duo is going to clash in the welterweight division. However, it seems that ‘The Notorious’ also has a challenge from the lightweight division. Charles Oliveira aka ‘Do Bronx’ has been asking for a clash with Conor McGregor for quite some time now.
He was defeated by Arman Tsarukyan in UFC 300 so he failed to cement his name as the number one contender in the lightweight category. However, this does not stop him from challenging McGregor. He again said the same thing in the latest interview and the clip was shared on Twitter. ‘Do Bronx’ seem ready for a big fight, let’s see what he has to say.

A post on X by MMA Fighting captioned, “Charles Oliveira is open to a “big fight” at 170 pounds 👀” Why not?” During Charles’ interview with Guilherme Cruz, he gave his stance on the planning that goes into selecting an opponent. He said, “We have to think breathe, and calmly think about what we will do. I don’t want to look back, I want to look ahead So I have to look at the guys who are ahead in the division. So I will sit down with the organization and see what the next step is what they have and what they think.”

When he was asked whether he would be up to fight in the 170-pound category Oliveira said, “In reality, why not take a fight that will lead us to money that will make history and add more legacy why not?” This is not the first time that the lightweight category star has wanted to fight Conor McGregor. In his previous episode with Full Violence, Oliveira was ready to take on The Notorious.

When asked about his opinion of the UFC 303, Oliveira said that this fight was going to make money for both Chandler and McGregor. He also revealed that he asked for a fight with Conor McGregor numerous times, but there was no response from his team. He admitted the fact that a fight with McGregor would bring him a lot of money so he was looking forward to it.
‘Do Bronx’ might be excited about a fight with ‘The Notorious’, but the latter has not spoken about this anywhere, and it seems like he’s not interested in fighting Oliveira. Let’s see if they both get an opportunity to fight each other inside the octagon in the future.
