In a story posted on Instagram, Michael Chandler made a bold prediction about what might happen during his fabled future clash with the ‘Notorious’. ‘Iron’ shared a video of him training in the gym, captioned “Still putting the pieces together. Brick by brick we build. – Walk On. – See you at the top!” A focused Chandler can be seen throwing punches inside the ring, in the video.

He reshared this video and on the story added his undaunted prediction, “He will fall within 2”. Promising to make quick work of McGregor, the American Lightweight fighter seemed to be more than keen on fulfilling his promise. The video seems to have gotten fans excited for the bout. Although fans are unsure of when exactly the bout will take place, it is quite safe to say that they have been promised an incredible display.

So when will Conor McGregor return?

‘Mystic Mac’ has on previous occasions, stated that he would be returning to the Octagon in December. After injuring his leg back in 2021 during his bout with Dustin Poirier, the Irishman has been facing issues regarding USADA protocols as well. The community believes that a December fight is unlikely taking into account the USADA protocols that must be followed. Therefore, there have even been speculations of revised testing methods for McGregor.

Recently, a screenshot of a fight card was shared leaving fans hopeful about ‘Notorious’s return. However, Dana White quickly exposed its illegitimacy, stating that it was AI-generated. Notably, McGregor also trained recently with his compatriot Ian Garry at his former gym. All these events might be giving mixed signals to the fans. As they hope for a quick resolution, only time will tell whether Chandler’s prediction comes true.
