The exit of former UFC star Francis Ngannou sparked a discussion about the MMA fighters’ pay and the contract under which they fight. The promotion came under severe criticism after UFC president Dana White failed to make the former heavyweight champion pen down a favorable contract. Afterward, the fighter left the promotion and is now exploring his options in the boxing ring. While uncertainty shrouds the future of the Cameroonian fighter, UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes the UFC return of Ngannou will be doubtful, particularly if he builds a successful career in the boxing ring.
Notably, the commentator discussed how the boxing career of ‘The Predator’ might pan out in the JRE MMA Show #136. Sitting with the newly crowned light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, he pointed out how the 36-year-old is a perfect fit for boxing.
Initially, in the conversation, the famed podcaster hoped to witness the heavyweight fighter achieve success in the boxing arena. Further, he theorized an ideal scenario would include Ngannou coming back in a title fight against the winner of Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane. However, the guest pointed out that a shift to PFL might not be a bad option either.

He said, “In heavyweight, for me, Ngannou versus the winner of Jones and Ciryl Gane. That’s the biggest fight you can make. And that’s what I really hope. I hope Francis goes and gets some big-money boxing match. And God forbid, if he wins, will probably never see him.”
“He just probably be raking in the cash. Next thing you see, Francis is covered in diamonds, jewelry sh*t,” the standup comedian added later on.
Subsequently, the renowned TV presenter mentioned that the 17-3 record holder possessed the necessary skill set to excel in boxing.
