UFC 295 experienced a major reshuffling after the main event between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic was canceled. But just as the PPV looked doomed, UFC CEO Dana White decided to move the exciting fight between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka into the main event spot. On November 11th, Pereira and Prochazka will fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title. The story of UFC’s light heavyweight title has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with twists and turns. Prochazka initially won the title by defeating Glover Teixeira at UFC 275.

However, ‘Denisa’ had to relinquish the title soon after suffering a brutal shoulder injury. A few months later, Jamahal Hill won the title. However, he met the same fate as Hill suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and vacated the title. Now, Prochazka is making his return to the Octagon to fight for the title against Alex Pereira, who recently moved into the light heavyweight division. Considering this unpredictable turn of events, a lot of fans have one intriguing question in mind. Will Jiri Prochazka face Jamahal Hill if he wins at UFC 295?

UFC announced the battle between Pereira and Prochazka a few months ago. Soon enough, it triggered an interesting response from the former champ Jamahal ‘Sweet Dreams’ Hill. In late September, he appeared on ‘BISPING INTERVIEWS PODCAST’ to give an update about his recovery.

During the podcast, he was asked to weigh in on his preferred opponent choice between ‘Poatan’ and ‘Denisa’. In his typically candid style, Hill delivered an unexpected response. “Honestly, if I had my choice and had my pick, I would have not gotten hurt, I would’ve had them both be in the position that they are and I would’ve whooped their a** one by one,” he said.

The Czech fighter suffered a horrible shoulder injury in November 2022. Initially, he was expected to return in the middle of 2023. Additionally, the UFC had been in discussions to officialize a bout between Prochazka and the then-reigning champion, Jamahal Hill. Notably, both fighters had expressed their interest in this bout.

However, Prochazka later revealed that his injury would not heal until August, and hence, the fight never happened! “August is still early for me because, and I keep saying this, I don’t want to just come there healthy in the cage and go fight right away,” said Prochazka.
