When Joe Rogan brought Donald Trump on the JRE podcast, it was clear to the fans that things would not remain the same and conversations might become more political moving forward. Joe Rogan made it more interesting by changing his stance about not being a Trump supporter after vowing not to bring him to the podcast.
Meanwhile, the fans hoped and wondered if this political aspect was a one-time thing. Well, episode #2234 of the Joe Rogan Experience saw Rogan host Marc Andreessen who had already appeared twice in the podcast. However, this time the conversation was pretty long and stretched to almost 3 hours. The tech billionaire had a nearly stream-of-consciousness discussion talking about Silicon Valley, Marcus Aurelius’ “Meditations” and eventually touching up on US politics.
Interestingly the duo discussed how high-fructose corn syrup seeped its way into the U.S. food system. So clearly the US health care and food habits of the people of America were concerning to them. The conversation seeped into how Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is in charge of healthcare now after Trump’s win and he would change a lot of things around here. The food system of the USA was picked up by Andreessen and dumped into the conversation where he mentioned the deteriorating state of the same. The business mogul used the word ‘common knowledge’ to describe how everyone knows about the aspect but no one does anything about it.

Once the trajectory of the food system took hold the duo went full MAGA on the discussion. Andreessen who had donated $2.5 million to the pro-Trump Right for America PAC, was very happy that RFK Jr was in charge of health. Rogan chimed in saying, “Everybody likes to have more energy you know. And we could promote that as a society and this RFK Jr appointment is a really big step in that direction that we’ve never had before.” While discussing the RFK Jr appointment the millionaire businessman spoke about how JFK had a program about this in 1962. For the uninitiated, JFK had a fitness education program called “La Sierra System.” This rigorous approach to fitness was created by a WWII veteran who focused on improving strength, flexibility, endurance, and even leadership qualities.
To add to this, Rogan spoke about Michelle Obama’s ‘Let’s Move’ initiative. He said, “Well Michell Obama did for a little bit right?” Andreessen might have labeled it as “getting into like vegetarian school,” but it was more than that. It was an initiative dedicated to solving the problem of obesity in a generation by improving access to healthy foods.
However, the duo decided to wrap up the past and talk about the present after a while. The UFC color commentator asked him about what RFK Jr. could do for healthcare after he gets in. To this, Andreessen was confident and said that the members of the Kennedy family had a broad ability to look at the healthcare system holistically. However, Rogan was apprehensive about the financial aspect. He said, “What kind of pushback is there gonna be against that? Like that seems like a wild amount of money is gonna be lost.”
As things keep shaping up for the US government, Donald Trump has announced that RFK Jr. will be in charge of healthcare and the former has decided to start the ‘Make America Healthy Again’ movement. However, there might be pushback from citizens and scientists who have given more attention to lifestyle diseases. Some groups of people are deeply apprehensive about Kennedy’s history of challenging the scientific agreement on mainstream medicine. Interestingly RFK Jr was present at Joe Rogan’s podcast #1999 and vowed to come through with the promises he made.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. promised to uphold the statements he made to Joe Rogan
RFK Jr. and Rogan kicked up a storm earlier this year with their discussion in the latter’s podcast. The most surprising aspect of it all was Rogan’s praise of the politician being the most ‘reasonable’ candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Rogan seemed to be a huge fan of RFK’s advocacy of legal battles against corporations for public health and environmental problems. RFK was also pretty happy with the podcast and posted about it on his Instagram profile. In the caption of that post, Kennedy swore to come through on the promises he had made. “Thanks, @joerogan @shawnryan762 … With a mass movement behind us, @realdonaldtrump and I will transform our food system. We will get the chemicals out of the water, air, food, and soil. We will drain the corruption out of the agencies that are supposed to protect the public. By 2028, I promise you, we will Make America Healthy Again,” Kennedy wrote.
So now that Trump is in power, Kennedy is ready to implement ‘Make America Healthy Again.’ The former lawyer has been passionate about the eradication of unhealthy chemicals in food which leads to chronic health problems. But with the pushbacks and other hurdles, will it be successful? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
