Earlier this year, Joe Rogan had shared a picture with long-time friend and comedian, Bobby Lee, ahead of his appearance on the JRE. This marked the first on-camera podcast conversation between Rogan and Lee, much to the delight of fans. However, an unexpected topic stole the spotlight: their heights. Rogan, reported to be 5’8”, appeared taller than Lee, who is reportedly 5’4”. This unusual sight led to a wave of fan reactions and online trolling, which seems to have become a recurring theme any time the UFC color commentator’s height is brought up by the fandom. The same reactions also surfaced when the host of the JRE recently shared a picture with former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou!

In a post made on Instagram, Rogan shared a picture of himself standing beside ‘The Predator’ with the caption, “Getting some treatments with the great and powerful @francisngannou at @ways2well! These people have helped me so much and I’m so happy Francis is getting treated here as well. They’re so thorough and it’s been amazingly beneficial to me.”

The picture, meant to highlight Rogan’s positive experience with the medical treatment that also helped out Ngannou, instead sparked a wave of height-related comments with fans taking jabs at the size difference between the pair! Here’s a look at how the community reacted.

Joe Rogan finds himself being roasted by the fans for his height standing next to Francis Ngannou

One fan humorously took a jab at Rogan by claiming they couldn’t tell the difference between the 5’8 UFC color commentator and 6’4 Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion in the picture

“Which one is Joe Rogan?”

Some fans raised questions about Rogan’s height and in a previously made post on X, in response to the constant jabs about his height, the host of the JRE had stated, “I’m short, but not that short 5′ 8”. According to information available online, the average height for an American male is 5’9, which means that Joe Rogan definitely isn’t as short as the fans seem to believe

“How short is Joe”

But others claimed that Rogan has been “shrinking” in recent years. According to information on Harvard Health, at around age 40, most people start experiencing a loss of height and it accelerates as you get older, you can lose up to 1 inch or slightly more of your height as your age advances.

“Why is Rogan shrinking?”

Jokes involving gravity were also made by the fans as they jokingly claimed that moving out from California could be a reason behind Rogan appearing shorter than his claimed height of 5’8

“Gravity is clearly stronger in Texas”

However, some fans were more interested in Ngannou’s shirt in the picture than obsessing over Joe Rogan’s heights. ‘The Predator’ was spotted wearing a ‘PFL Africa’ shirt, a part of the MMA organization’s attempt to set up their ‘Champions League of MMA’ with top African fighters and all events planned to be hosted on the continent. Ngannou has also been tapped in to serve as the PFL Africa chairman.
