Michael Chandler is proving imitation is not always the best form of flattery, as he mimics the iconic ‘billionaire strut’ of Conor McGregor. ‘Iron’ mocked the Dublin-born as he perfectly imitates the strut that the Irishman made popular in the UFC. ‘The Notorious’ incorporated the billy strut as a part of his Octagon walkouts when he stepped at UFC 205 to face Eddie Alvarez. Since then, the strut’s popularity has exploded multifold, and now it has a new taker in the Irish fighter’s foe.

In a clip that made rounds on the internet, MMA fans can witness the former Bellator champion entering a room with a billy strut honed to perfection. However, he is not the only one as earlier soccer stars Sergio Ramos and Paul Pogba have tried to duplicate the iconic strut.

On the other hand, Chandler’s imitation is a dig at his rival, if not a fan-boy moment. He is leading 5-0 against his rival coach on TUF and now awaits a timeline for their awaited clash. Despite the failure of McGregor to meet the USADA deadline for registration for the testing pool, the lightweight fighter is confident of fighting the 22-6 record holder this year.

In his recent appearance on the KFC radio podcast, Chandler specified, “There’s gonna be a fight. It’s still a little up in the air.”

“Well, the fight back in USADA, yeah, I mean, the timing of it is up in the air. But it’s locked in that you guys will fight. Yes, it’s more the timing, you know,” he added later.
