Jiri Prochazka is one of the most fascinating fighters in the light heavyweight division of UFC. He made his name heard in the division with a stunning knockout win in his debut in 202o. Prochazka came in with an Avant-Garde hairstyle for his second fight in the promotion. It instantly grabbed the attention of many, even before the light heavyweight fighter entered the octagon. Upon being asked about the hairstyle in his pre-fight interview, the Czech fighter called it his ‘War Hair’. Further on in the same interview, ‘The Czech Samurai’ explained that his hairstyle was inspired by the headgear worn by Muay Thai fighters called ‘Mongkhon.’ Seeing that he loves to live life like a warrior, this inspired him to start looking like one as well.
Later, he also won his second UFC fight with a stunning knockout in the second round against the former two-time light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes. Prochazka also credited his hairstyle for his win. In the post-fight press conference, he said that his new hairstyle was the reason he was getting good ideas and combinations in his head during the clash, “That’s why I have this antenna, to catch these ideas.” But how did he come up with the hairdo in the first place?

It is worth noting that this hairdo has become a symbol associated with the fighter now. In fact, ahead of his clash against Jamahal Hill at UFC 311, a fan who is receiving cancer treatment imitated the hairstyle of the former UFC Champion. Before she lost her hair due to chemotherapy, the user “butterfly105 wrote on Reddit, “Lost my hair to chemo – not before celebrating my favorite UFC fighter! I had a lot of fun doing this with my friend before shaving it all off! Cancer sucks, but you have to make the best of it sometimes! I’ll be rooting for my boy in January!”
Prochazka was truly moved by the gesture. Responding to the fan on the Ariel Helwani show, he said, “Every fighter should have a warhair.” He further added, “They are real warrior. This is true fighting. I want to know this girl, write a message and help her make a change [mentally] and the body will adapt. Believe.”

‘The Czech Samurai’ was given the main event by the promotion with just one win under his name. After his amazing UFC debut in 2020, Prochazka took on Dominick Reyes in his second UFC fight.
Apparently, Prochazka had the same Muay Thai warrior-inspired hairstyle for his main event in May 2021. Reyes came out to be a good competition for the Czech fighter in the first round.

However, ‘BJP’ knocked him out in the second round with a vicious spinning back elbow. He won two bonuses for his knockout win, ‘Fight of the Night’ and ‘Performance of the Night.’
