Rosas was a fan favorite for the match; interestingly, he was also the betting favorite against his opponent Turcios, who was struggling to keep up with the high-paced UFC matchups. From sources it has been revealed that Rosas Jr has been fighting against illness since last night and tried his best to stay on the card, but seems like destiny had some other plans for the young star.
A victory against Turcios tonight would have pushed Rosas toward the ranked status of the bantamweight division but seems like ‘El Nino Problema’ has to wait for the next UFC Vegas 87 card in Las Vegas, Nevada to settle the score. Additionally, Rosas’s first loss in the UFC halted his progress to become the youngest champ in the promotion’s history.
