Jorge Masvidal has a question for UFC President Dana White about Khabib Nurmagomedov.
‘The Eagle’ retired from the sport early, yet he left a hard-to-match legacy for any other fighter. Besides, the undefeated fighter barely gave away rounds in his 29-0 professional career.

With three title defenses and a 12 fight win streak in the lightweight division, he is perhaps the greatest lightweight fighter ever to compete inside the UFC Octagon.
However, all these didn’t add up to feature on Dana White’s list of UFC’s greatest fighters.
Therefore, ‘Gambred’ shared a post and raised a question, “Is #DanaWhite being a #Khabib hater because he retired early?”
Jorge Masvidal, upon coming across a post that suggests Dana White offering “Khabib is NOT One of The Greatest UFC Fighters Of All Times,” labeled Dana White as a ‘Khabib hater.’
However, Masvidal missed the fact that, in the interview, White had to give the list of the top three all-time great UFC fighters. The UFC President made a very formidable list that even Nurmagomedov himself would have no problem with.

White put Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, and Jon Jones ahead of Khabib Nurmagomedov. All three of them have three times more UFC championship bout experience, hence White’s list is well justified.
Does Khabib Nurmagomedov’s dominance make a slot for him on Dana White’s list?
The Russian fighter only had three title defenses to his name. However, in his 13-fight UFC career, he lost only two rounds in two separate bouts against the former champion and interim champion. Also, he perhaps has the most 10-8 rounds in the promotion’s history.
In the later stage of his career, he made world-class fighters submit while making them look amateur. Principally, his bout against Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje.
Though he is often criticized for not moving up, his biggest bouts were in the lightweight division. Especially, a contest with another lightweight in Tony Ferguson, who also stacked a 12-fight win streak in the lightweight division.

Nevertheless, Nurmagomedov competed in the toughest division in the UFC and looked levels above his counterparts. Yet White held more volume to the number of title defenses and included the long-reigning champions in his list.
Dana White pestered Khabib Nurmagomedov to take his retirement back

Initially, the UFC President didn’t accept Nurmagomedov’s retirement. White had several meetings with the Russian fighter. Further, he presented Nurmagomedov with many lucrative offers. However, ‘The Eagle‘ kept his world and stayed retired.
Later, White accepted Nurmagomedov’s emotional decision. Moreover, the UFC even put Nurmagomedov into the UFC Hall of Fame’s ‘Modern Wing’ as a member of the class of 2022.
