Recently, in a tweet, Michael Benson, a reputed combat sports journalist, citing MatchroomBoxing, shared McGregor’s thoughts on the fight, especially the guillotine.

In his characteristic candid manner, “The Notorious” questioned the effectiveness of the submission, saying, “What guillotine? Did he finish it? Why did he not finish it? He f***ing just wrapped around his head.”

McGregor’s succinct and trademark bluntness captured the sentiments of many as he weighed in on Diaz’s guillotine maneuver. Following the intense showdown, Jake Paul sent shockwaves through the combat sports world by revealing his aspirations to engage in a rematch with Nate Diaz in MMA. This move has elicited a mix of skepticism and intrigue among MMA enthusiasts, who are acutely aware of the profound disparities between the boxing ring and the MMA cage.

UFC’s illustrious two-weight division champion, Daniel Cormier, known in the fighting world as DC, has joined this conversation. With a succinct prediction, DC opined that the likelihood of an MMA face-off between Paul and Diaz remains slim, asserting, “No chance he fights Nate in MMA. Nate will submit him if they fight. Nate will submit him.”

DC’s statement captures the prevailing notion that Diaz’s proficiency in grappling might pose an unconquerable obstacle for Paul within the realm of mixed martial arts. Although Diaz ultimately faced defeat in the boxing ring, he displayed his prowess in a different arena, winning over fans with his submission maneuver.
