As a stand-up comic himself, Joe Rogan has his own standards for comedy. Whether it is a stand-up show or a sitcom, Rogan has his own opinions on deciding whether they are funny. It does not matter how mainstream a show is, if it’s not funny to him, he will say it out loud. And that is exactly what Rogan did recently for ‘The Big Bang Theory.’
‘The Big Bang Theory’ is one of the modern-day sitcoms with a large fan following. Like a lot of sitcoms, it uses canned laughter to supplement the jokes. However, if it does not make you laugh without the laugh track. is the show actually funny?

Joe Rogan raises an issue with ‘The Big Bang Theory’
Joe Rogan and Ms. Pat started off their conversation by discussing comedy. As stand-up comics, the duo shared a mutual interest in all things comedy. Rogan paid her compliments for the success of her own sitcom. The former Fear Factor host was glad the show found success.
He said, “I’m glad your show is doing so well because that genre for comedians is a dying genre. You don’t really see sitcoms much anymore.”
Pat said that although there were sitcoms being made, comedians did not drift towards them anymore. Rogan also talked about the quality of the sitcoms that are made today. While expressing his dissatisfaction, he brought up ‘The Big Bang Theory.’
The BJJ black belt said, “I saw a clip of The Big Bang Theory and it was The Big Bang Theory but without the laughs. They removed the laughs so you can see what the show actually is. Why are people laughing? This is strange.”

Pat told Rogan that she once had to face the wrath of fans of the show for sharing a similar opinion about it. She also added that she had not watched the entire show.
While fans and online communities dedicated to such shows jump to their defense against such claims, are they without merit? Do you think Rogan has a point about sitcoms? Are you a fan of ‘The Big Bang Theory’? What is your take on Rogan’s feedback about the show?
