In December, Conor McGregor stunned the combat sports community by fueling the rumor that he would face Logan Paul in a potential billion-dollar boxing match in India. However, the former UFC champion then informed fans that the potential combat between him and the YouTuber would only exist in their imaginations owing to the UFC’s ‘fault.’. So, now he has found the perfect revenge plot by booking his comeback fight at the BKFC instead.
A moment that truly caught the attention of MMA fans took place at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s Knuckle Mania 5 as McGregor had a face-off with Jeremy Stephens ahead of his fight against Eddie Alvarez. Issuing the challenge for Stephen’s biggest fight of his life, ‘The Notorious’ said, “Who the f*** is this guy? Let’s make a date; let’s set a date. Who’s gonna stop me, man to man? No one’s gonna stop me. Dare to make a date; let’s do it. One down for the pro.”
From the looks of it, Stephens accepted the challenge. So now, all that fans will have to do is just wait for the two to confirm the fight for the BKFC. This news would definitely break Dana White’s heart, who wanted the Irishman to make his much-awaited return to the biggest MMA promotion in the world instead.

However, this would contradict McGregor’s retribution plot. In an interview with the YouTube channel The Schmo, the Irishman said that the UFC had no interest in co-promoting the boxing fight in India, therefore ending any negotiations between the athlete and the powerful Ambani family. In any event, the Irishman’s admission is unsurprising. It’s worth remembering that UFC President Dana White frequently prohibits his fighters from boxing. In fact, the head honcho, when asked by a journalist about the matter, was clear and denied the possibility that ‘The Notorious’ would go toe-to-toe with Logan Paul in the ring.
Dana White vetoes boxing fight between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul
Conor McGregor fueled major rumors about his fight against the WWE superstar that he would receive an exorbitant salary of $250 million to measure forces against him. About a month after all the hype was created, this possibility was unfortunately vetoed by Dana White. During an interview with the YouTube channel Pardon My Take, the UFC president rejected the possibility of ‘The Notorious’ stepping into the ring for a second time, either against Logan Paul or fellow influencer KSI. “No,” the head honcho replied when asked if the Irishman is going to go toe-to-toe against Logan Paul.

“No, no, no,” Dana White further added when the prospect of ‘The Notorious’ vs KSI was brought up. It is worth mentioning that Conor McGregor has an exclusive contract with the company. Therefore, he would need the organization’s approval to foresee challenges outside of MMAs. In 2017, Conor McGregor, at his peak, managed to get the UFC boss to ‘free’ him, for a boxing match with the legend Floyd Mayweather. On that occasion, Dana White co-promoted the event, even appearing alongside his star athlete in the press conferences, generating a considerable benefit from the exposure of his athlete.
However, eight years later, the businessman does not seem willing to repeat the feat. With an eye on having McGregor back in the world’s most famous MMA stage, White projected a possible return to action for the Irishman for the during Autumn, which covers the period between September and November. But it would be interesting to see how he reacts to McGregor’s new BKFC stunt. What do you think? Will the Irishman make his fighting return at BKFC? Let us know in the comments.
