White labeled him as “the guy who took down Lance Armstrong”. Notably, Armstrong holds a world record of winning the prestigious Tour de France cycling race seven times consecutively from 1999 to 2005.

Novitzky led the group of Federal Investigators who looked into Armstrong’s case before the USADA’s involvement in it. The federal prosecutors officially dropped their investigation with no charges. But, it actually opened up the narrative that something might be wrong with Armstrong. This investigation also prompted the USADA to take an interest in the issue, which eventually resulted in Armstrong’s confession of his misconduct of using PEDs.
