Becoming the first Jamaican-born fighter to hold a UFC belt and only other British champion in UFC history back then, Edwards then cemented his status as a champion with two title defenses over Usman at UFC 286 and Colby Covington at UFC 296.

Jayon is believed to have been born somewhere around 2016-2017. In another post on X from 2017, Edwards shared a picture of him with his son. The caption read, “Do it for my last name.”

Well, Edwards knows well enough what it’s like to be a single parent. After successfully defending his welterweight title against Kamaru Usman at UFC 286, Edwards stated in the post-fight press conference, “I’m a kid born in Jamaica with nothing. My dad was involved in gang crime. A single mum raised me. It’s a great story to tell, and to make my son proud of me for what I’m doing, means the world to me.”

Now, Edwards is getting ready to fight Sean Brady at UFC London. He’s coming fresh off of a defeat against Belal Muhammad.
