The MMA Guru has made a name for himself with his YouTube content revolving around the world of mixed martial arts. Exploring the intricate details of the sport, the YouTuber has a unique reporting style that seldom fails to attract the fight fans. Operating the channel out of the United Kingdom since 2017, the online content creator has amassed more than 230 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel, which features about 3900 videos on the platform.

With about 97.46 million views averaging in 30 days, he earns around $5-15 thousand per month. The MMA Guru is, in fact, one of the few people who look morbidly obese on screen. However, the reality is completely different. When he stood beside Dricus Du Plessis during an interview back in December 2023, the world got to know that the Britisher was definitely not disabled and short. Instead, one can consider him as a 6-foot-3 giant.

While not much is known about his real name or his personal life, The MMA Guru is well-known for his blunt commentary. As a reason of this, he often finds himself in the middle of rumor mills and controversies. One such controversy got him in a beef with Nina Marie Daniele.

What happened between ‘The MMA Guru’ and Nina Marie Daniele?

The beef between the British YouTuber and the UFC reporter began with a picture of Amy Kaplan at UFC 307. Weighing in on the picture, The MMA Guru wrote on X, “Honestly so disrespectful of the UFC camera man at the UFC 307 press conference to be like “nah you guys gotta see this” in the middle of her question. Honestly pathetic behavior and not funny…. #UFC307.”

What’s your perspective on:

Did Nina Marie Daniele go too far, or was she right to defend Amy Kaplan?

Have an interesting take?

This was something that Daniele didn’t quite appreciate. She was forced to retaliate in Kaplan’s defense on X. Replying to the Britisher’s tweet, Daniele sent forth a long letter. After calling him a “clout chasing vermin”, the social media influencer for UFC wrote, “But for Amy, I had to speak up. I may not be every body’s cup of tea, I might be cringe and annoying and I don’t shy away from using my assets for views, they’re a great set and I will use every tool at my disposal without actually desecrating myself for success in my career but that doesn’t make me an indecent human which is what you like to allude to as of late.”

Daniele went on to diss at The MMA Guru for all the  lies and rumors that he tends to spread through his channels. She demanded an apology from the Britisher for insulting Kaplan. She wrote, “You owe @PhotoAmy33 an apology and while you’re at it apologize to yourself for turning out less than human, an excrement stain on society and now the reason another person is going to sleep feeling devalued and violated.” Thereafter, Daniele proceeded to urge the fans to go through everything that Kaplan has contributed to the world of MMA.

But the situation continued to worsen when the YouTuber decided to lash back at Daniele. On his YT channel, The MMA Guru ranted about Daniele, claiming that she was nothing but a hypocrite for overlooking the remarks from Sean Strickland. This seemingly pushed all the buttons for the UFC influencer and she took to X to criticize The MMA Guru.

In the caption, she wrote, “A special message to my biggest fan, LOL. This was fun! But let’s not forget who the real prostitute is. You beg for your donations, I get big boy checks, you saw the effect of me mentioning you, you get it now. Lastly, the biggest difference between you and me is that my pu$$y is between my legs, and you use yours to speak.”

The war between Daniele and the Britisher has attracted quite a bit of attention from the MMA realm. Even Michael Bisping joins Nina Drama to defend Amy Kaplan.

Nina Drama gets support from big names

Soon after The MMA Guru attacked Kaplan, the famed photographer wrote, “And this is why I prefer to remain behind the camera and in 10+ years of covering the UFC don’t speak at the press conferences. Don’t forget that everyone deserves respect, even people you don’t find attractive.”

This strong move amassed the attention of a couple of strong figures in the MMA world. ‘The Count’, although has been in a few scuffles with Nina Drama, stood beside her to encourage Kaplan. He quoted, “You’re a G and a hell of a woman. Stay up, Amy! F-k the noise.”

Dillon Danis was also quick to swoop into Kaplan’s defense. Replying to the tweet, the Bellator contender wrote, “Keep up with your great work @PhotoAmy33and ignore the negative pr–k.” No doubt, The MMA Guru received boatloads of lashings from the fighting community for body shaming Kaplan.

But did you know that the British YouTuber was also involved in a controversy with the UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones? Well, that’s what forced ‘Bones’ to call The MMA Guru out on X.

When ‘The MMA Guru’ had a controversy with Jon Jones

Earlier in May 2024, Jones and The MMA Guru had all eyes on them. It was all because of a rumor that the YouTuber started, which claimed that the UFC double champion didn’t have straight s-xual orientation. Needless to say, this infuriated Jones, as the rumor began to spread through the internet like wildfire.

Jones took to X and wrote, “Crazy that we live in a world where influencers can persuade the minds of the boys on the internet. Literally some random loser with a microphone in his basement. People can just say anything they want these days. I find it fascinating.”
