Stipe Miocic is regarded as the greatest UFC heavyweight fighter in history. His wrestling and his boxing techniques are nothing but a visual treat to the eyes.

Miocic holds a lot of records to his name. The most prominent of them is that he is a two-time and current UFC heavyweight champion. Also, he holds the record of the most consecutive successful title defenses in the history of the UFC’s heavyweight division.

How is the equation between Miocic and his wife, Carney?

Stipe Miocic met the love of his life, Ryan Marie Carney, through Carney’s brother. He made the pair comfortable in the first meeting itself and they hit it off quite quickly. Miocic and Carney didn’t take too long before exchanging vows. The couple has one child from their marriage- a daughter named Meelah Claire Miocic.

Carney is an ideal wife who acts as a pillar of support for the champion Miocic. She did not hesitate in taking up the role of a nurse and made sure that Miocic gets all the comfort and care that he needed. She claimed to have taken this decision after seeing the trauma and pain that her husband underwent after every UFC fight.

Through success and failure, Carney has always been on Miocic’s side. Carney admits that it is not easy to be the wife of a world champion. She understands that this is what her husband chose, and she will have to deal with all the injury and pain after every fight.

Carney said, “I’m always just worried about injuries, and making sure he walks out with very minor injuries, hopefully. As a nurse and as his wife, God forbid he’d have to go to the hospital there. It’s a very different system.”

Stipe Miocic has openly admitted that his wife is his source of inspiration to fight every day. He said, “I’m surprised my wife hasn’t left me yet, because I put her through a lot of (expletive). But I’m never going to change and they want to promote me? Awesome. But I’m not going to beg about it and I’m going to be the guy I am: a Midwest boy that loves to fight and loves to win, and he’s a fireman.”

With all the constant support from Carney, Miocic is pumped up to defeat and knock down all his opponents. With his hard work combined with the care he gets from his family, he can focus on being one of the best fighters in the UFC.
