One such example is the long-lasting relationship between Karol Rosa and Denise Gomes. The two ladies brought their romance to the Octagon and have been competing in their respective weight categories with great finesse.

Denise Gomes, Karol Rosa’s girlfriend

Karol Rosa’s social media pages are filled with pictures of her along with Denise Gomes. In her 2025 New Year post on Instagram, Rosa shared a few pictures of herself with Gomes and revealed that they had been together for about 6 years now. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy to be by your side for another year. 2024 has passed and we are 6. God willing 2025 will be 7.”

During the press conference for Dana White’s Contender Series 51, a reporter asked Gomes about her partner. Competing together with the one you love is nothing short of a beautiful privilege. Well, that’s the reason why ‘Dee’ blushed bright red before shyly replying, “I’m so happy that I’m with her. Being together with someone that you love, doing something that you love just makes everything easier, makes the fight easier.”

Well, things took a turn for the better as Gomes partnered with Jessica Andrade and her significant other to form an all-women’s non-profit MMA team, named GAEA Project. The trio were already a part of PRVT, which was shut down after the coach and manager, Gilliard Parana, found peace in retirement. With their own team, the women have ensured to dominate the Octagon.

Denise Gomes MMA record and UFC career

‘Dee’ has a professional MMA record of 10 victories and 3 losses. But the exciting thing is that out of these wins, she secured 6 wins via knockouts. She began her career in mixed martial arts with a loss by KO in 2017. Then she went on a 6-fight win streak. This streak included her victory at Dana White’s Contender Series 2022, which got her a contract in the UFC. 

But just like her MMA debut, Gomes’ UFC debut also ended in a loss via a unanimous decision. But that didn’t stop her. She secured 2 back-to-back victories by finishes, before facing her 3rd defeat, which came at the hands of Angela Hill, back in 2023. 2024, however, was a good year for ‘Dee’. After all, she secured 2 wins, and one of them was against Karolina Kowalkiewicz. 

On the other hand, Rosa is set to fight Ailin Perez at UFC 311. The Brazilian is coming fresh off of a one-fight win streak, with a win over Pennie Kianzad in her last fight.
