Jailton Almedia is in a relationship with Dandara Rodrigues, with whom he lives in the neighborhood of Brotas in Salvador, Brazil, where he has lived since his childhood. Rodrigues is a successful businesswoman in her own right and has recently launched a line of swimwear. The couple does not have any children yet, and even if they do, they haven’t brought him into the public eye. Meanwhile, Almeida hasn’t shared any pictures of his significant other on social media either.

On the other hand, the multi-talented Rodrigues is training to become a multimedia producer for which she is learning photography and videography. The financial situation of Jailton Almeida’s family growing up, and like most Brazilian kids, he also wanted to be a soccer player. Pele, Romario, Ronaldo Nazario, there were a lot of players that the children down there in the South American nation take inspiration from to become athletes themselves. However, Almeida’s financial struggles made him unable to join a professional club, leading him to take up his father’s path of becoming a boxer.

He started boxing at six years old and slowly he started getting into it. Then he took up Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 11 and got really good at it. ‘Malhadinho’ also holds a black belt in BJJ, which he received in 2018, six years after he made his pro-MMA debut. Also, Almeida may have started training in boxing but he excelled in grappling as he has 13 out of his 21 wins coming off submissions.
