Former UFC middleweight champion, Chris Weidman will be making his return this weekend at UFC on ESPN, 52 against Bruno Silva. Weidman suffered another injury against Brad Tavares back in UFC 291. The former middleweight faced one of the most gruesome injuries back in UFC 261 against Uraiah Hall in 2021. Though many people believed that the injury would be the end of Weidman’s career, he would return just two years later.

Weidman did have tons of support from friends and family as he was gathering his strength. However, one individual played a major factor in supporting the former champ while he was recovering, and that was his wife, Marivi Caban.

Chris Weidman is married to Marivi Caban. She was born on October 18th, 1986 in New York, USA. Though a New York native, Marivi’s parents belonged to the Islands of Hawaii. The two officially tied the knot back in 2009, and have been together for 15 years now.

Weidman and Caban met all the way back during their secondary school days back in Long Island New York. The two were reported to have started dating around the same time frame. Weidman’s wife completed school education at Baldwin Senior High School.

Marivi seems to have been working as an accountant till 2015, however, her current profession is not known. It is through Weidman’s wife that fans get photo updates from the family about their everyday life on Instagram. She has 10.8k followers and 989 posts on her Instagram account.

Weidman and Caban’s children

Given that Chris Weidman and Marivi Caban have been married since the year 2009, the two have had ample time to grow their family. Weidman and Caban are blessed with three beautiful children. One elder daughter named Cassidy Weidman and two younger sons named CJ Weidman and Colten Weidman.

Chris Weidman was a well-known and accomplished wrestler winning the NJCAA All-American champion (two times), and NCAA Division 1 All-American (two times) while he was in university. Like their father, the younger two sons have taken up wrestling and seem to be excelling in the sport just like their father.
