Anna Hooper was born on 4th August 2000, just one year after her husband was born. Hooper’s significant other is a strength instructor by profession. She works at the Wolf Heart Fitness Co. in Washington DC. She’s pretty active on social media, as well. With a fan following of over 4000 on Instagram, she has often shared pictures of herself together with her family. Anna Hooper has also announced that she often joins her husband to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You’d be amazed to know that she’s actually a purple belt in BJJ.

The Hoopers took their relationship one step ahead and tied the knot on 22nd August 2021. With the couple being together for about 7 years now, netizens have wondered if they’d planned on expanding their family and having children. Well, the Hoopers are indeed parents to a beautiful daughter. Ellie Aidyn Hooper was born on June 11, 2024, attracting well wishes from the entire fighting community.

Becoming a father certainly changed Hooper’s perspective. Talking to RG earlier in August, ‘The Dream’ said, “I was still figuring out everything, like how to buy a house, how to pay my bills, how to pay taxes. But I think I’m definitely starting to find my groove in and out of the cage. I’m starting to figure out how to live with this type of career.”

There was a time when losing a fight would pick on his ego. But now, things were different. He continued, “But now, I need to provide. It’s for a purpose now. I’m not just fighting for myself. I’m fighting so that my daughter can be in a better position than I was growing up.” Providing for his family has indeed taught him the importance of discipline and focus, helping him grow personally, and professionally.

All about ‘The Dream’s early life

Hooper began his BJJ training at a pretty young age. Given his talent and athleticism, he quickly propelled himself, conquering the mats and claiming several local titles. Talking to the UFC, he once said, “I started training at eight years old, and I just never stopped. I had my first amateur fight a few weeks after I turned 17. I didn’t really seriously think about fighting until I was 13 or so, but I wanted to fight because I’m a competitive person, and I wanted to see how far I could go doing something that I love. Additionally, I’ve sacrificed so much in the name of training that it would be a shame not to see how far I can go with fighting.”

Of course, growing up in Enumclaw, Washington, helped shape Hooper’s career as a mixed martial artist. His parents actually encouraged him to go on and pursue his athletic interests. He made his MMA debut in 2017 and entered the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018. He has been on the climb ever since he stepped into the Octagon at UFC 245.

Hooper is now set to clash against Clay Guida at UFC 310. Needless to say, the two have already locked horns before at Fury Pro Grappling 6. It was the Washington resident who emerged victorious with a calf slicer in round 1. With support from his family, ‘The Dream’ would definitely try his best to extend his 3-fight win streak on the 7th of December. But would the family’s well wishes be enough to lift him up? Well, we’d have to wait and watch the story unfold in the Octagon.
