The combat sports world seems to have hit a goldmine with Alex Pereira‘s family, as his sister Aline Pereira is also making waves in the sport. Like her brother, Aline started as a kickboxer and has dedicated herself to it with unwavering determination. In addition to that, Pereira’s sister has also stepped into the world of mixed martial arts.

However, most of the attention os solely on Alex Pereira, who’s kind of the face of the UFC at the moment, and might surpass Conor McGregor‘s stardom one day. But that’s a story for another day, because we’re about to dive deep into the details of his sister, Aline Pereira. Here’s what we know.

Meet Aline Pereira, Alex Pereira’s sister

Much like Alex Pereira, his sister also has roots in the Pataxo tribe of the Bahia region in Brazil. Moreover, she is not that younger than her UFC star brother, since she’s 34 years old as of 2025. Apart from that, there’s not much known about the events that unfolded in her life as she grew up, other than the fact that she’s also an MMA fighter, who is far in a different continent, far away from her brother, whose promotion is in the United States.

Aline has been competing in kickboxing since 2017, and has made a name for herself on the international kickboxing circuit. There’s no doubt that she’s got the combat sports bug from her brother because kickboxing really was a successful venture for her. However, she couldn’t quite replicate that when she entered the MMA realm. Let’s take a look at how her career has panned out so far.

Aline Pereira’s MMA, kickboxing, and Karate Combat record

Alex and Aline Pereira share a close bond, just like any other siblings. Both of them train under the retired UFC legend Glover Teixeira, who has been instrumental in shaping their fighting careers. Aline often posts pictures and videos of her brother Alex and is present at his fights. Similarly, ‘Poatan’ supports Aline in her fights. They celebrate each other’s successes, and the fact that they follow the same career path adds to the bond they share.

Starting her combat career in 2017, Aline Pereira competed in way fewer kickboxing bouts than her brother, with a total of eight. However, she was able to win six of them at the expense of a couple of losses. In doing so, ‘Sister Chama’ got to compete for the Glory bantamweight championship, but she lost, and after a couple more fights,  Aline made her MMA debut at the age of 32.

Unfortunately, Aline Pereira wasn’t able to emerge victorious in her first fight inside a cage. Losing two fights and winning just one while competing in promotions like Legacy Fighting Alliance, among others, didn’t sit well with Alex Pereira’s sister, and so she decided to switch in discipline. In 2024, she decided to compete in Karate Combat, which is based in Dubai.

Aline Pereira may have taken the right decision to compete in Karate Combat as she’s undefeated so far with two wins on the trot. However, the end goal might be to make it to the UFC, like her brother, even though she failed in her first run. But did you know that she also worked another job when she was actively competing as a fighter? Let’s take a look at that front.

Aline Pereira’s shocking part-time ‘Amazon’ job leaves ‘Poatan’ furious

Alex and Aline Pereira celebrate each other’s successes and take pride in each other’s achievements. They understand the challenges that come with pursuing a career in MMA and their shared experiences have only strengthened their bond. While Alex Pereira was making waves in the UFC, his sister wasn’t at that level yet, so she also worked for Amazon and her brother fully supported that.

But when a reporter got a chance to speak with Alex Pereira, he mentioned his sister’s Amazon work with a bit of a negative undertone. Guess what? The UFC light heavyweight champion didn’t like that even one bit and blasted the reporter for his comments. “If you had no bad intentions you could have asked if I helped in any way but you knew if you prolonged the conversation, you wouldn’t have good material [to use],” ‘Poatan’ stated on Instagram.

Well, it will be interesting to see if Aline Pereira supports her brother now since he’s got his UFC 313 fight against Magomed Ankalaev coming up. Do you think she’ll be there in Las Vegas? Let us know in the comments down below.
