Israel Adesanya emerged victorious in his highly anticipated rematch against Alex Pereira, turning the tables in their long-standing rivalry. The Miami-Dade Arena was left in awe as ‘The Last Stylebender’ delivered a stunning knockout blow against his Brazilian arch-nemesis at UFC 287. Adesanya’s impeccable striking skills were on full display, as he relentlessly attacked Pereira, eventually catching him off-guard with a perfectly timed hook that sent him crashing to the canvas. The New Zealander’s performance has earned him high accolades from the MMA community, with many praising his skill and resilience in the octagon.
Among the many admirers of Adesanya’s latest feat was none other than Jan Błachowicz, his former opponent and current light heavyweight contender. The Polish fighter congratulated Adesanya on his victory and took the moment to call him out for another fight, but the fans don’t see this coming to fruition for one major reason. And it even caught the UFC legend Chael Sonnen‘s attention.

Jan Błachowicz wants a piece of Israel Adesanya
In March 2021, Adesanya made a move to the light heavyweight division and took on Blachowicz, who was then the champion of the division. The Polish fighter emerged victorious, winning the bout via unanimous decision and retaining the title.
It looks like Błachowicz hasn’t forgotten about his former opponent. With ‘The Last Stylebender’ reclaiming the UFC middleweight title, the 40-year-old fighter took the opportunity to praise Adesanya’s skills and even offered him yet another chance to shine in a rematch against him.
Congratulations on a successful rematch, @stylebender. If you want to try another one, you know where to find me. This time at middleweight for your belt. #UFC287

Błachowicz wrote, “Congratulations on a successful rematch, @stylebender . If you want to try another one, you know where to find me. This time at middleweight for your belt. #UFC287”. However, this move by the Polish fighter has left many UFC fans curious, as they can’t see how Blachowicz would manage to cut down to 185 pounds.
Fans can’t see Jan Błachowicz cutting weight successfully
Upon the call-out, the fight fans and UFC veteran Chael Sonnen put forth their doubts about Jan Błachowicz. Essentially because of the fact that he may not be able to cut down the amount of weight required to make the Adesanya rematch happen at middleweight. UFC veteran Chael Sonnen said he’s all ears.
