UFC stars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have had an intense rivalry. With each of them winning one fight against the other, many wanted to see them clash for a trilogy fight. However, they seem to have something in common. It looks like their mutual love for late Jada Pinkett Smith’s reported former flame Tupac Shakur is a common ground.

Back in 2021, Diaz quoted Tupac Shakur in a tweet. The Stockton fighter tweeted, “You gotta get the ground beneath your feet, partner, get the wind behind your back, and go out in a blaze if you got to. Otherwise, you ain’t sh*t.”

The Tupac Shakur quote was from the movie ‘Juice’ which starred Samuel L. Jackson and the late American rapper. Like him, rival Conor McGregor too has used some ‘2pac’ quotes to take his UFC game a step higher. During his second bout with Nate Diaz, ‘The Notorious’, did a Tupac Shakur impression of the rapper’s famous diss track ‘Hit Em up’

McGregor went on to win the bout against Diaz. In addition to this, the Irish fighter was also seen sporting the same watch that Tupac Shakur had. Thus, it looks like, both Diaz and McGregor have taken some inspiration from ‘Tupac’.

Further, Tupac Shakur’s work is a big hit in the UFC. Many fighters have chosen to walk out on some of his songs. This includes Diaz. ‘Ambitionz Az a Ridah’, ‘Don’t make enemies with me part 2’, and ‘I am a soldier’ are some songs of ‘2pac’ that Diaz has walked out to.

Diaz has been itching to fight soon. The UFC had been looking to book him and Dustin Poirier. After all, both are coming off recent losses. However, it looks like there might, in fact, be a different opponent.
