Joe Rogan is a man who has donned several hats in life. From UFC commentator to podcaster to stand-up comedian, the JRE host has dabbled in different fields and earned himself some valuable credentials. But what about acting? While he has appeared on the idiot box time and again with his Fear Factor, do you know that the JRE host has also appeared in a box office hit that collected over $100,000,000 domestically and internationally?
Well, it was back in 2011 when Joe Rogan decided to appear in Kevin James’ comedy hit, Zookeeper. The film is about a hard-luck zookeeper who seeks solace and advice by talking to the animals at his zoo to find love. But while many might have forgotten his movie, one moment that might have gotten etched in the minds of MMA fans was the scene where Joe Rogan had a dance routine with Leslie Bibb!
Contrary to what others might’ve imagined, Rogan actually had some pretty impressive moves. In fact, the scene perfectly showed that the Joe Rogan Experience host can also be a future contestant on Dancing with the Stars if he ever wishes to dazzle in the world of choreographed dance routines.

It is worth noting that the UFC commentator wasn’t just an unnamed character on the show dropping his cameo. Instead, he played a character named Gale, of whom the protagonist of the story was envious because the JRE host actually managed to steal the heart of his ex-girlfriend. Seeing his dance, it is disappointing to see how he is shying away from the Hollywood lens now. However, his decision to not be a part of films can also be because of the ‘fake’ acting in Hollywood.
Joe Rogan criticizes the acting in current Hollywood films
In a University of JRE clip from a few months ago, Joe Rogan might’ve revealed why he isn’t a part of the movie industry. Speaking to his guest, Greg Fitzsimmons, the JRE host revealed that the acting by several Hollywood stars feels completely fake to him. It especially hits hard to him when he compares modern scenes to the ones acted by greats, such as Marlon Brando.

While comparing the acting chops of several big names in the industry to the Godfather actor, the UFC commentator said, “Yeah, they talk so weird back then. And they talk fake. It was like fake. He was the first guy to like, ‘Oh, that seems like he’s really experiencing that right now. He’s really upset.” He further praised Brando by calling him the original actor that the Hollywood industry ever had. Joe Rogan added, “You know when you talk about like original comics, like he’s the original actor. You know ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’; watch that movie. Like nobody acted like that back then.”
The Godfather actor was nothing short of an acting genius. So, it is no surprise that Joe Rogan became such a massive fan of the star who, unfortunately, left us in 2004. However, if a Godfather remake is ever made, it would be interesting to see if Joe Rogan chimes in to earn himself a role in the iconic movie. What do you think? Should Joe Rogan try his hand at acting again? Let us know in the comments.
