We know Conor McGregor to be one of the most ambitious fighters in the world of combat sports. This is one of the many reasons fans adore the Irishman. He is one of the slickest talkers in the promotion, and there is no one who brings the same energy as McGregor.

Conor McGregor once inducted himself into the UFC’s prestigious Hall of Fame back in 2016. The fighter went to his Twitter handle and wrote:

McGregor’s self-induction came at the end of a series of tweets, including one in which he slammed the former heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum, who withdrew from his impending bout at UFC 196 due to a toe injury. During this time, McGregor was one of the most electrifying fighters and hadn’t lost a single bout in his UFC career.

Recently, one of his biggest rivals, Khabib Nurmagomedov, got inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame. It is rather surprising that we haven’t gotten a response from McGregor after Khabib’s recent achievement.

Nurmagomedov became a Hall of Famer at UFC 272 last weekend, after being retired for almost two whole years. The Dagestani destroyed some of the best fighters in the world with ease, one of them being McGregor.

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

McGregor suffered a broken leg in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. After his terrible injury at UFC 264, the fighter has been away from the fighting life and took time out to heal.

After months of rehabilitation and recovery, the Irishman is back in the gym and is preparing to make a return to the UFC. McGregor will make his reappearance this year, and will most likely take on his bitter enemy, Nate Diaz.

Diaz is currently on his last fight according to his existing UFC contract and has signed no new paperwork. He will look to land a huge money fight before his exit, which he will definitely get against Conor.
