The UFC, a couple of years ago, caught the attention of fans when they replaced one fighter’s arm with another in promotional posts. That even happened with Jon Jones, who got his arm replaced by one of Francis Ngannou. Now, the UFC has done it again with ‘Bones’, and his slated opponent, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has posed a question regarding it.
The UFC recently shared a post on YouTube of an edited faceoff picture between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. This time, it wasn’t the heavyweight champion’s arm that was edited, but his height. When Aspinall came across the post, he had a surprising reaction to it, wondering what kind of substance ‘Bones’ took to get taller than him, which could have been a dig at Jones’ past issues with banned substances.
On that post shared by Dana White and Co., Tom Aspinall shared a comment, which resurfaced on Reddit. He was seen wondering, “What’s Jon been taking to get so tall?” Obviously, Jon Jones is not a small man by any means as he stands 6 feet 4 inches tall. However, he’s still not as tall as Tom Aspinall, who is an inch taller than the supposed greatest of all time. So it was no surprise that this post from the UFC caught the Englishman off guard.

On another note, Tom Aspinall’s been touted as the one to hand Jon Jones his first clean defeat in his entire career. It’s been a fight that he’s been looking for, and the good news is that Dana White has agreed to make that fight. But is there a chance that Aspinall gets to fight Jones in his hometown? Well, a UFC legend doesn’t believe that could come to fruition.

Tom Aspinall may not get to fight Jon Jones in his native country
After Michael Bisping and Leon Edwards, no English fighter has made as much noise as Tom Aspinall in the UFC. His performances, which include only finishes, haven’t failed to mesmerize the UK fans, who want to see him in a big-time fight inside the Octagon in their backyard. However, the ‘godfather of British MMA’, Bisping, claims that may not be possible, especially due to the issue with timings. There were already a lot of complaints from American fans about UFC 304’s timing since the pay-per-view’s main event took place past midnight in the US.

“What’s the likelihood of Aspinall facing Jon in the UK, you reckon? That is never gonna happen. Never ever going to happen. Jones vs Aspinall is just too big of a fight. So, sadly for the UK people, they’re going to have to stay up to the middle of, what is it, 3-4 in the morning?”, ‘The Count’ stated on his Believe You Me YouTube channel. Do you think the venue is going to matter for Tom Aspinall?
Nevertheless, the year is coming to an end and the UFC’s YouTube post regarding Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones has made it clear where the UFC heavyweight division is headed in 2025. But do you think the UFC did the heavyweight Englishman wrong by making Jones look taller than him? Let us know in the comments down below.
