UFC lightweight veterans, Bobby Green and Jim Miller will be going up against each other at the prelims of the historic UFC 300 event. Both Green and Miller have had quite respectable careers. Both Green and Miller have had quite respectable careers with over 101 professional MMA fights among them. However, this isn’t the first time that a fight between the two was set up by the promotion.
Green is coming off of a loss against Jalin Turner last December but looks to be eyeing to get back into the win column. “King” has always been a man for the company as he is known for not ducking any fights and taking on short notice fights whenever presented. One example would be his taking a fight against Islam Makhachev. However, there was a point in time when he didn’t live up to the promotion’s code of conduct.
Bobby Green’s failed drug test

Bobby Green isn’t the typical fighter that would come to mind when you think about a failed drug test, because of his demeanor both in and outside the cage. However, back in October of 2022, “King” had to pull out of a fight against Jim Miller at UFC 276 because of failing a drug test.
Bobby Green tested positive for a banned substance known as dehydroepiandrosterone or DHEA after consuming an “over-the-counter” supplement. Though Green tested positive for a banned substance, the USADA gave Green a penalty of just 6 months as DHEA is legally sold in the US as a dietary supplement.
The California native claimed that he had not known that the substance was banned by the USADA and simply took it as he watched a doctor talk about the benefits of dehydroepiandrosterone. Here is how Bobby Green addressed failing a drug test.
“King” addresses his failed drug test
Bobby Green, after failing his drug test, took to Instagram to explain his thoughts on the whole situation. Green seemed rightfully distraught with his carelessness which led to him testing positive for the PEDs. Green never having failed any drug tests before this, took responsibility for whatever had happened.

In the Instagram video, “King” stated, “I take responsibility. I’m crushed, I’m like what the f—? I had no idea, guys, what I was doing, that it was wrong, that there were any benefits to what I was doing. I would never try to cheat, I would never try to lie to the public. I’m against drugs, I’m against PEDs.”
