The main card for UFC 304 began with a bang and took the excitement to the next level as Paddy Pimblett defeated King Green via an impressive triangle choke within the very first round. Despite being the toughest bout of his career, Pimblett seemed to walk through Green with a lot of ease, as soon as he took the fight to the ground.

As soon as the bout began, the duo exchanged a couple of blows. And soon, Pimblett performed a successful takedown. After a bit of struggle, ‘The Baddy’ took hold of his opponent in a guillotine choke. To the Britisher’s surprise, Green slithered out, but Pimblett had decided his opponent’s destiny. Executing a triangle hold, Pimblett sent Green to the shadow realm as he put enough pressure on his carotid. The referee had no choice but to end the bout in Pimblett’s favor.

But it was the post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, that won over the fight fans’ hearts. He gave a shout-out to a young cancer victim, named Chad Jones. The young fan liked to call himself ‘The Baddy’ and Pimblett didn’t back down from letting the world cheer for the young hero. Showing the armband with Chad Jones’ name written on it, Pimblett said, “I just want to dedicate this fight to little Chaddy the Baddy, seven years of age, lost his life to cancer, seven years old. He called himself Chaddy the Baddy because he’s a baddy fan, his name was Chad Jones, little man that’s for you.” Without a doubt, this tribute extracted a bit of tears from the fighting community.
