There are not many people in the MMA world who are known for their numerous skills. But if there were a list compiled about such people, Joe Rogan would surely find his name on that list as he is quite the jack-of-all-trades. Widely known for his role as a commentator in UFC, Rogan has also had success in comedy, acting, podcast hosting, and even martial arts.

Off the octagon, the UFC commentator is known for his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ which has hosted several renowned and controversial figures like Elon Musk, Kanye West, and Jordan Peterson. His podcast, which is known for its candid and unfiltered discussions, recently hosted professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, who shared his past incidents in the entertainment world. In the episode, Hogan shared a story involving Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone for his role in Rocky 3 that made Rogan say, “Sly, you’re stealing.”

In episode 2024 of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan was joined by Hulk Hogan. During the conversation, Hogan shared a story about how he was offered $14,000 to appear in the Sylvester Stallone starred Rocky 3.

“So he goes, I want you for the film,” Hogan said. “And I’ve never had an agent. I’ve never been in a movie. I don’t know anything. He goes, I’ll give you $10,000 to do the film.”

Hogan sarcastically highlighted his lack of negotiation skills by saying, “Me being the negotiation genius that I am, I want, I want 15 you know, I want 15 grand. So, he gave me $14,000, and I signed whatever.” Hogan’s story visibly upset Rogan. After listening to the story, Joe asked, “Oh my God, he bargained with you?” and then exclaimed, “Wow!” Hogan replied, “Yeah, so I signed,” prompting Joe to say, “What the f*ck, Sly? You’re stealing.”

Reminiscing those days, Hogan stated, “Yeah! So I signed whatever you wanted back in the day, and that was it,” underscoring his lack of knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry. In the podcast, they both also talked about former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and the heavy list of talents that Brock, now a WWE superstar, hosts.

Hogan shares story of former UFC heavyweight champion

Rogan praised the former UFC heavyweight champion for his transition to MMA. He highlighted that Brock’s career change still shocks him, making him wonder how he did that among top UFC athletes.

Rogan said, ”Brock went from pro wrestling to being the UFC Heavyweight Champion. And I mean, he did in such a short amount of time of training in MMA. I mean obviously, he had a spectacular amateur wrestling career. He was a legit top-flight amateur wrestler and a f***ing genetic freak, and all those things.”
