While famous podcaster Joe Rogan speaks his mind, he has also gotten into trouble because of it. As reported by ‘The Mix’, it was Kaepernick who started the practice of taking a knee during the national anthem. The athlete has not been re-signed by an NFL team after his departure from the San Francisco 49ers in 2017.
Per the article, in his Netflix documentary named ‘Colin In Black & White’, Kaepernick compared the NFL to slavery. Rogan did not like this and did not hesitate in making this known.

Rogan said (h/t The Mix), “Imagine comparing the ability to do it or not do it, you sign up for it, everybody — like, so many people who play football want to be in the NFL. It’s a goal. It’s a dream. You can make millions of dollars. And imagine comparing that to slavery simply because they measure people’s physical performance.”

“That’s what he’s doing; he was measuring like wing spans and the combine scores, like for weightlifting and speed and all that stuff. That’s to see how physically adept you are, how good you’re gonna be at football, so they’ll give you tons of money.”
“The idea that this is comparable to slavery, whoever f***ing wrote that down and then he — the fact that he read it and said it, and then they had that video where they’re comparing the NFL owners to the slave masters, and they’re shaking hands with each other: What the f*** are you talking about?”
Which other athletes has Joe Rogan criticized?
From what Rogan said, it is clear he was not at all happy with the comparisons Kaepernick made. However, he is not the only athlete Rogan has criticized. Recently, the UFC commentator also openly criticized transgender swimmer Lia Thomas for participating and winning the NCAA Championship. The UFC commentator infamously said that it was ‘an assault on women’s sports’.

While he admitted that the former WWE wrestler was extremely hardworking, he thought Punk was ‘missing a lot’. The athlete has only two fights under the UFC. His debut against Mickey Gall ended up in him losing via submission in the first round. His second fight ended in no contest. Thus, his MMA career ended quickly.
