Sharaputdin Magomedov, hailing from Russia, is a rising name among UFC fans for his explosive fighting style. The 30-year-old, who considers Khabib Nurmagomedov as his role model, has a vastly different style than ‘The Eagle’. As he makes his way to Saudi Arabia for another fight, Magomedov is up against a veteran of the game, Michael ‘Venom’ Page, at UFC Fight Night 250.

Sharaputdin Magomedov can only see properly through his left eye after his right suffered permanent damage because of an injury while training in Thailand. Despite that, the Russian up-and-comer has amassed a pretty stellar record for himself. This proves that he is a special fighter and, unlike his Dagestani counterparts, his fighting style doesn’t include wrestling.

While it’s not certain if he has any black belts, Sharaputdin Magomedov was a Eurasia Champion in Burmese boxing and also a Russian Muay Thai champ before turning his attention to mixed martial arts. Also, ‘Shara Bullet’ competed in Muay Thai fights, which had bare-knuckle rules, called ‘Lethwei’, with headbutts being totally legal. “It’s almost like Bare-Knuckle [where] they just wrap your hands, [but] you can also headbutt your opponent,” Magomedov told ‘Red Corner MMA’.

When it comes to his fighting style, he is not someone who shoots takedowns, but he uses all angles on the feet to defeat his opponent. He has a diverse form of fighting and the Dagestani does not use one way only. Sharaputdin Magomedov uses every part of his body as a property to defeat his opponent. Another point in his fighting style is his fluidity and blending of all fighting styles together. However, he primarily likes to use Muay Thai.

Sharaputdin Magomedov has a specialty in sidekicks, axe kicks, crescent kicks, and the like. He can also throw a right hit kick to a lift head kick effortlessly. ‘Shara Bullet’ does not need a lot of space inside the octagon to get his perfect shot at the opponent. He is agile with his legs and can get it in tight spaces and throw strong kicks.

It is hard for the opponent to guess the next move of a bullet since he blends different kinds of fighting styles. He may be a relative newcomer in the UFC and may not have butted heads against big-name fighters, but his record is impeccable, nonetheless.

 What is Sharaputdin Magomedov’s record?

‘Bullet’ has a record of 15 victories without any losses, much like Khabib Nurmagomedov. Having lost vision in one of his eyes, the 30-year-old takes inspiration from UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping, who also suffered damage in one of his eyes but went on to win the UFC belt with just one eye. However, fans and MMA pundits alike believe that Sharaputdin Magomedov is a special fighter solely because of his highlight reel-creating finishes.

As of now, Sharaputdin Magomedov has 12 victories by knockouts, which is 80 percent of his professional MMA wins. Moreover, the Dagestan native literally created one of the most memorable moments in UFC history with his impressive spinning double-back fist at UFC 308. So the only thing fans are hoping for now is another highlight reel from Magomedov. It remains to be seen how his fight against Michael ‘Venom’ Page turns out in Saudi Arabia.
