Joe Rogan has always been a vocal critic of anything related to MMA. He has often offered his insights on the newly formed promotion – Professional Fighters League. While top guns like former UFC Heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou and Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul are trying to boost the promotion as a main-stream platform for MMA fighters, the UFC commentator is quite dismissive of the PFL’s merit system for its fighters.

In one of his JRE podcasts, Rogan shared his perspective on the PFL’s rules and scoring system. He asserted he finds the rules puzzling and complicated. Arguing his POV, he shed light on the promotion’s intricate scoring system. He revealed, “I was going to give some advice to the PFL – some unsolicited advice. I would say – ‘Ditch that whacky system that I don’t even understand.’There’s scores and points – like, you get points if this – and points if you finish and you’re moving up in the leaderboards…”

Rogan’s advice for the PFL is straightforward and clear – simplify the rules. He emphasized that the true essence of MMA is in the fights that make these promotions so successful. Furthermore, he suggested that the promotion should abandon the convoluted rules that make it difficult for both fighters and fans to comprehend.

Moreover, the UFC commentator concluded his arguments with bold advice to the PFL. The 55-year-old re-affirmed his words, declaring, “Fights – just fights. Abandon all that stuff…”
