Dana White has a reputation for sticking to his friends. His long-term association with the UFC also facilitated some amusing friendships along the way. But one friendship baffles the fans the most. The 53-year-old has a close ally in Kyle Forgeard.

The Canadian YouTube star is the founder of the famed YT channel and entertainment company ‘Nelk’. Nelk Boys stormed into the limelight with public prank videos and, later on, diversified their ventures. Besides their staple prank videos, they also host a popular podcast- ‘Full Send Podcast’. They even surprised the fans when they visited Fight Island in 2020. How did a YouTube group end up seizing headlines for their association with the UFC President?

Is one of Nelk Boys related to Dana White? 

Forgeard alongside Jesse Sebastiani founded their YouTube channel in 2010. The current roster also includes Stephen ‘SteveWillDoIt’ Deleonardis, Salim Sirur, Gabriel Poncio, Aaron ‘Steiny’ Steinberg, Jimmy Gambles, and Cousin Jay.

However, the reason for their closeness is not their relation to the UFC lynchpin. Nelk Boys don’t share a bond of blood with him. It was Dana White Jr. who first crossed paths with Forgeard in a pub and they instantly hit off. He then introduced the YouTube star to his father.

Since then, the bond between them only deepened and even attracted the flake of the media in one particular incident.

What did Dana White give Nelk Boys?

Last year, the American businessperson received backlash from the MMA media for his gift to Forgeard. He gifted $250,000 in cash to the Nelk Boys founder amid the growing concern about fighters’ pay. Calling him “best f*cking mentor/friend”, the Youtuber declared, “I am in f*cking shock. Thank u so f*cking much @danawhite 😭”

While the spending spree put him in a negative spotlight, the UFC head honcho set the record straight when he sat down with Pat McAfee. He said, “First of all, all these people on the internet go f**k yourself… Mind your own f**king business. Number two, you know, if you look at what Kyle and the NELK Boys have done as far as Howler Head and a lot of other things that they’ve done. Those kids have never asked me for anything, ever.”

This was not the first time that both parties had splashed cash as a token of their friendship. Previously, SteveWillDoIt gifted White a $300,000 Maybach minivan in December 2021.

Further, the custom-made van was wrapped in the branding of White’s favorite whiskey- Howler Head. “The f**king Nelkboys are the absolute best, the coolest m***erf**kers on the planet and I love Steve,” White announced.

Kyle Forgeard speaks on his relationship with Dana White 

In one episode on Full Send, the 29-year-old touched upon his relationship with White. He stated, “What a crazy thing it is to just be friends with f*cking Dana White. That sh*t is crazy man. Growing up watching UFC and sh*t and like looking up to Dana White. Like that guy’s a boss.”

“That’s what’s great about Dana because he has never made like excuses. Like he always finds a way to get it done. No matter what it is,” he added later.

In a recent episode, the podcast host also praised the business acumen of White. Appreciating his conduct, Forgeard expressed, “That guy has the biggest b*lls, bro.”

This heartfelt admiration is one of the numerous times when they both have publicly revealed their affection for each other. The memories of the YouTube group making Fight Island their home for a brief duration are still fresh in White’s mind.

Dana White tells Pat McAfee about his relationship with Nelk Boys

Disclosing what transpired behind Nelk Boys’ appearance, White told Pat McAfee, “So they reached out to me and wanted to come to Fight Island. To check out some fights and I knew about them through my kids.”

He continued, “So I had already seen their stuff and I like them. They’re actually really good kids. So yeah, they came out. We had a good time, and it was fun.”

Such is the bond between White and Nelk Boys that both are ready not only to face the backlash but also willing to squander the make each other happy.
