Alex Pereira is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars present in the UFC at the moment. He has risen to the top spot in a very short span of time, marking an inspiration to many. Pereira began his career in Brazil and initially had no formal training. However, he took on kickboxing at age 21 to achieve the success he adorns today. Before making his move to the UFC, the 36-year-old was a former Glory Kickboxing champion in two divisions. He held the title in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions respectively.

One of his biggest assets is his devastating leg kicks which he uses consistently during his fights. However, it’s not only his kicks that are destructive. The current champion also has a strong left hook which he is widely known and regarded for, further fetching himself belts in two different divisions. The technique has gone on to represent the creative and adaptive character of the 36-year-old. But that isn’t all he possesses.
Transitioning to MMA in 2015, Pereira also latched onto Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling in part. As of today, he holds a brown belt in the discipline. She said, “But, as Israel Adesanya said in his prediction as well, “there are things Alex [Pereira] never changed: his low hands.” He has a good eye, obviously, but his low hands… he’s not changing. He’s not changing his fighting style. And if Jamal Hill studied him well, like really well, I would say Jamal Hill wins by knockout because he will find, like, the leg in the defense.” Many experts have picked Jamahal Hill as the favorite for the fight.
