Did Brendan Allen get robbed in Paris, or is he overreacting? Let's hear your thoughts!

UFC middleweight Brendan Allen is set to clash against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Fight Night in Paris but there seems to be a bit of a hindrance for the former. All the athletes under the promotion who were selected for the battle are going to the City of Love. However, it seems like Brendan Allen and Renato Moicano were not shown a lot of love by the French officials. The middleweight was expecting to return to his hotel room for a much-needed rest after going to their weight cut and weigh-ins early morning on Friday.

Yet the fighter had a different story to tell on Instagram and was very agitated with the system that was being followed in France. He reviewed the corrupt practices of the officials through his social media and exposed them.

Allen and featherweight, Renato Moicano were forced to give some blood tests and urine tests on top of the already required tests for weigh-ins on Friday. Allen 245 had made weight at 186 lbs at official weigh-ins in Paris. This is when he revealed that he was asked for more tests by the French officials, which was ‘corrupt’ according to him. He posted the whole ordeal on Instagram through a reel and described what he had to go through.

He said,Just so you know that everyone knows France has the most corrupt way of dealing with fighters ever in the whole world. Had fu** over  40 fights fought outside the country? In the country different states. That state made weight no problem. Then they are gonna tell me I have to give blood or urine. First, they said urine did I have to give urine? Right off the scale. So dehydrated just waited three hours and finally had to pee.” On top of that the officials also asked for a blood test and they demanded another blood test after the initial one because they did not get enough.

“All in”  had to give extra blood unit tests on top of the regular tests that are done for the weigh-ins. He also complained that the other fighter had to go through this, but it was just him and the featherweight who were the most important facts on the card. Allen alleged that his opponent, Nassourdine Imavov, did not have to do the extra testing and was able to recover following weigh-ins. Allen also claimed that the officials could favor his opponent if the fight goes to a decision. He reasoned that Imavov was born in Russia and then moved to France and has been training in France since he was 19 so the audience might favor him too. Seems like he was not completely wrong since Imavov did not have to go through the extra tests.

Brendan Allen has a lot to be agitated about

Not only is he upset that his opponent did not have to go through extra medical tests by the French officials, but his opponent is also higher in rank than him. “Yeah, it’s crazy, man, I’m the only guy on the win streak that I’m on that falls places in the rankings,” Allen conveyed to MMA Fighting.

It is fair in a way that ‘All In’ is feeling this way because his opponent Imavov is on a two-fight winning streak. On top of that, even Jared Cannonier is also on a two-fight losing streak and is a position above him. Meanwhile, Marvin Vettori has not fought in 15 months and is also coming off a loss. Even he is ranked two spots ahead of him. So is there really something going on?

On top of that, Allen has had to give extra blood tests after the French officials requested that when his opponent did not have to. These things are making him agitated.
